Removing the Unified Security Hub (USH) Board

Steps

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. battery
    2. base cover
    3. keyboard trim
    4. keyboard
    5. optical drive
    6. hard drive
    7. palmrest
  3. Disconnect the smart-card and the USH cable from the system board. Remove the screws that secure the USH board to the computer and remove it from the computer.
