Removing the front I/O bracket
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the side cover.
- Remove the front bezel.
About this task
The following images indicate the location of the front I/O bracket and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Loosen the thumb screw on the front I/O bracket and unscrew it until the front I/O bracket is free to move.
- Move the top end of the front I/O bracket at an angle to free it from its slot on the chassis.
- Remove the front I/O bracket from the computer.
