Removing the HDD

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the following:
    1. side cover
    2. HDD bezel
    3. HDD carrier
  3. To remove the 3.5 inch HDD:
    1. Expand one side of the carrier.
      Displays the HDD
    2. Lift the hard drive out of the carrier.
      Displays lifting the HDD from the bracket
  4. To remove the 2.5 inch HDD:
    1. Expand two sides of the carrier.
    2. Lift the hard drive out of the carrier.
