Installing the display assembly
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
Steps
- NOTE:Before installing the display assembly, ensure that the display hinges are opened to a 90-degree angle against the display assembly, to fit the display assembly to the palmrest.Align the screw holes on the hinges on the display assembly to the screw holes on the palmrest.
- Replace the six (M2.5x5) screws to secure the hinges to the palmrest.
- Connect the touch screen cable (for models shipped with a touch screen) or IR camera cable (for models that are shipped with an IR camera) and display cable to their connectors on the system board.
- Replace the display cable bracket from the computer.
- Replace the three (M2x5) screws to secure the display cable bracket in place.
- Connect the antennas to their connectors.
- Align the WLAN bracket and replace the (M2x5) screw to secure it to the system board.
