Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
- Remove the base cover.
About this task
Steps
- Disconnect the two fan cables from their connectors on the system board.
- Remove the four (M2x5) screws that secure the fans to the system chassis.
- Loosen the four captive screws that secure the heat-sink to the system board.
NOTE:Loosen the captive screws in the order that is stamped onto the heat-sink next to the screws [4 > 3 > 2 > 1].
- Carefully lift the heat-sink to remove it from the computer.
