Removing the VPU card

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
    NOTE:Ensure that your computer is in Service Mode. For more information see, step 6 in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the SD card.
  3. Remove the base cover.
NOTE:The following procedure is applicable for models shipped with a VPU card in the SSD2 slot only.

Removing the VPU card

Steps

  1. Remove the single (M2x2) screw that secures the VPU card thermal plate in place.
  2. Remove the VPU card thermal plate from the system board.
  3. Remove the VPU card with VPU card bracket from the system board.
  4. Remove the single (M2x2) screw that secures the VPU card to the VPU card bracket.
  5. Remove the VPU card from the VPU card bracket.
