Installing the USH and SD card reader daughterboard FPC
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
CAUTION:The information in this installation section is intended for authorized service technicians only.
The following image indicates the location of the USH and SD card reader daughterboard FPC and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.
NOTE:The following procedure is applicable for systems shipped with a USH and SD card reader daughterboard FPC only.
Steps
- Align and place the USH and SD card reader daugherboard FPC in place.
- Replace the two (M1.4x1.2) screws to secure the USH and SD card reader daugherboard FPC in place.
- Connect the USH and SD card reader daugherboard FFC cable to the connector on the system board.
Next steps
- Install the system board.
- Install the heatsink.
- Install the right fan.
- Install the left fan.
- Install the Battery.
- Install the VPU card, for systems shipped with a VPU card.
- Install the M.2 solid-state drive, for systems shipped with a solid-state drive.
- Install the base cover.
- Install the SD card.
- Follow the procedure in After working inside your computer.
