Installing the power button with fingerprint reader assembly
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
CAUTION:The information in this installation section is intended for authorized service technicians only.
The following images indicate the location of the power button with fingerprint reader and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
- Align, place, and adhere the power button with fingerprint reader assembly on the palm-rest assembly.
- Place the power button with fingerprint reader bracket on the power button assembly.
- Replace the three (M1.6x2) screws to secure the power button bracket in place.
Next steps
- Install the system board.
- Install the heatsink.
- Install the right fan.
- Install the left fan.
- Install the Battery.
- Install the VPU card, for systems shipped with a VPU card.
- Install the M.2 solid-state drive, for systems shipped with a solid-state drive.
- Install the base cover.
