Installing the base cover
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the necessary component before the installation procedure.
About this task
CAUTION:The information in this installation section is intended for authorized service technicians only.
The following images indicate the location and provide a visual representation of the base cover installation procedure.
Steps
- Connect the battery FPC cable to the connector on the system board.
- Tighten the two captive screws to secure the battery connector bracket in place.
- Align and place the base cover on the palm-rest assembly, and snap the base cover into place.
- Replace the eight (M2x3) T5 Torx screws to secure the base cover to the computer.
