Removing the touchpad FPC
CAUTION:The information in this section is intended for authorized service technicians only.
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in
Before working inside your computer.
NOTE:Ensure that your computer is in Service Mode. For more information see, step 6 in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the SD card.
- Remove the base cover.
- Remove the M.2 solid-state drive, for systems shipped with a solid-state drive.
- Remove the VPU card, for systems shipped with a VPU card.
- Remove the Battery.
- Remove the left fan.
- Remove the right fan.
- Remove the heatsink.
- Remove the system board.

Steps
- Remove the two screws (M1.4x1.2) that secure the touchpad FPC to the system board.
- Disconnect and remove the touchpad FPC from the system board.
