Removing the LED board

  1. Follow the procedures in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. SD card
    2. base cover
    3. battery
    4. keyboard
    5. hard drive
    6. palmrest
  3. To remove LED board:
    1. Lift the tab and disconnect the LED-board cable from the system board [1].
    2. Peel the LED-board cable from the system.
    3. Remove the single (M2.0x5.0) screw that secures the LED board to the system [2].
    4. Remove the LED board from the system [3].
