Installing the assembly inner frame

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.

The following image indicates the location of the assembly inner frame and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.

Installing the assembly inner frame

Align the screw holes on the assembly inner frame with the screw holes on the system board and the palm-rest assembly.
NOTE Ensure that the tab on the top-left corner of the assembly inner frame is installed underneath the tab on the palm-rest assembly.
Replace the seventeen screws (M2x3) that secure the assembly inner frame to the system board and the palm-rest assembly.
Replace the two screws (M2x3) that secure the assembly inner frame bracket to the system board and the palm-rest assembly.
Route the speaker cable firmly through the routing guide on the assembly inner frame and connect the speaker cable to the connector on the system board.
Route the antennas cable through the routing guides on the assembly inner frame.
Align and place the metal bracket next to the WWAN card slot.
Replace the single (M2x3) screw to secure the metal bracket to the system board and the palm-rest assembly.
