Removing the touchpad buttons board

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer
  2. Remove the microSD card.
  3. Remove the base cover.
  4. Remove the battery.
  5. Remove the ssd.
  6. Remove the ssd bracket.
  7. Remove the palmrest bracket.

Steps

  1. Disconnect the smart card reader cable and unroute the cable [1,2].
  2. Disconnect the touchpad cable from the connector [3].

  3. Remove the two (M2x3) screws and lift the touchpad away from the computer [1,2].
