Removing the heat sink

Steps

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover
    2. battery
  3. To remove the heat sink - :
    1. Disconnect the heat sink assembly cable and remove the screws (2) that secure on the system board[1, 2]. .
      NOTE Remove the screws that secure the heat sink .

    2. Remove the M2x3 screws (6) that secures the heat sink assembly to the system board [1].
    3. Lift the heat sink assembly away from the system board [2].
