Removing the base cover

Steps

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. To remove the base cover:
    1. Loosen the M2.5x5 (8) captive screws that secure the base cover to the [1].
    2. Pry the base cover from the edge near the air vent [2].
      NOTE a plastic scribe to pry the recess, starting from the top edge of the base cove.

  3. Lift the base cover away from the laptop.
