SupportAssist

SupportAssist provides an enhanced support experience for ME5 Series storage systems by sending configuration and diagnostic information to technical support.

Personal or business data is not collected in this process. SupportAssist only collects system state information including configuration, event notifications, and system diagnostic information. With SupportAssist, your information is safe during transport and storage. Data is transported securely with 256-bit encryption, secure web ports, and via a firewall with protected one-way communication from your site to Dell while your device usage and login credentials are never collected or leave your site.

If you need help with an issue and need to call technical support, they can access information about your storage system that was sent by SupportAssist. This feature enables technical support to assist you, without having to wait for configuration and diagnostic data to be collected and sent to technical support.
