Dell PowerVault ME5 Series Administrator's Guide
Getting started
The PowerVault Manager is a web-based application for configuring, monitoring, and managing the storage system. The PowerVault Manager is also referred to as the web-browser interface (WBI).
Each controller module in the storage system contains a web server, which is accessed when you sign in to the PowerVault Manager. You can access all functions from either controller in a dual-controller system. If one controller becomes unavailable, you can continue to manage the storage system from the partner controller.
In addition to the PowerVault Manager, each controller module in the storage system has the following interfaces: SNMP, FTP, SFTP, SLP, CLI, API. For information about using the CLI and API, see the CLI Reference Guide.
NOTE:SMI-S is not supported on the
ME5 Series storage systems.
