Configure SupportAssist to use a web proxy
If the storage array does not have direct access to the Internet, SupportAssist can use a web proxy to send data to technical support .
About this task
NOTE:DNS must be configured on each controller to allow SupportAssist to work with a web proxy. To configure DNS, see
Configuring DNS settings.
Steps

Perform one of the following actions to access the SupportAssist options:
- In the Home topic, select
Action > System Settings, then click the
SupportAssist tab.
- In the System topic, select
Action > System Settings, then click the
SupportAssist tab.
- In the Welcome panel, select
System Settings, then click the
SupportAssist tab.

On the
Web Proxy Settings tab:

Select the
Web Proxy checkbox.

Type the hostname IP address of the proxy server in the
Host field.

Type the port number of the proxy server in the
Port field.

If the proxy server requires authentication, type the credentials in the
User Name and
Password fields.

Click
Apply or
Apply and Close, and click
OK on the confirmation panel.
