Dell Storage PowerTools Server Hardware Manager Version 3.2 Administrator’s Guide

Installation Wizard

Use this procedure to install PowerTools using the installation wizard.

Steps

  1. Download the PowerTools Server Hardware Manager installation package from Dell.com/support.
  2. Go to the download directory, and extract the installation files from the ServerHardwareManager-x.x.x.x-<OS>-installer.zip file.
  3. Go to the directory where the installation files were extracted.
  4. Double-click the installation program: ServerHardwareManager-x.x.x.x-windows-installer.exe
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions, and accept the End User License Agreement.
    NOTE:Installation of the SNMP monitoring service is optional.
  6. When the installation is complete, run the CLI in administrator mode to use the shmcli commands.
