When you pause a replication session, changes made to the resource on the source system are not replicated to the destination system.
You can pause a replication session from the source or destination system. To pause a destination system, select
Protection > Replication > [replication session] and then select
Pause.
When you pause a synchronous replication session, a recovery snapshot is created to be used as the last common base when the session is resumed.
While a replication session is paused you can:
Resume the replication session.
Delete the replication session by removing the protection policy from the storage resource.
Resize or rename the storage resource.
Change volume group membership.
Initiate migration to another appliance in the cluster.
