Reboot a node (svc_node reboot)

This service script is used to reboot a node.

Format

svc_node reboot [-h] [-a] [-f] [-d] {local,peer}

Optional arguments

-h, --helpShow the help message and exit.
-a, --asyncRun in asynchronous mode.
-f, --force Ignore warnings; force a reboot that might result in data becoming unavailable.
-d, --debugInitiate verbose logging for debugging purposes.

Positional arguments

QualifierDescription
localSpecify this argument to indicate that you want to turn off the local, or primary, node of an appliance.
peerSpecify this argument to indicate that you want to turn off the peer, or secondary, node of an appliance.

Considerations

Appliance state Personality Notes
Configured or unconfiguredSAN or HCI If the node is not in service mode, you see a warning that the node is running workloads. You can use the --force option to override the warning and start a reboot.
