Configure a metro volume group
About this task
Enabling metro configuration for a volume group makes it visible to hosts from two
PowerStore systems with a remote system connection.
NOTE:All volumes in a volume group are treated as a single instance and all actions on the volume group applies to all its members.
The following volume groups cannot be configured as metro:
- An empty volume group
- A volume group clone
- A volume group without write-order consistency
- A volume group that includes volumes that are not local.
- A volume group that is assigned with a protection policy that includes a replication rule.
- A volume group with a read-only protection policy
- A volume group that is being migrated or imported
- A volume group that is a read-only replication destination
NOTE:If a witness was configured for this
PowerStore system, the metro volume group is automatically assigned to the witness.
Steps

Select
and select the checkbox of a volume group.

The
Configure Metro Volume Group slide-out panel is displayed.

Select a remote system or configure a new remote system.

Click
Configure.

On the remote system, map the configured metro volume group to a host.
