When you resume a replication session, changes made to the resource on the source system during the pause are synchronized to the destination system.
You can resume a replication session from the source or destination system. To resume a destination system, select
Protection > Replication > [paused replication session] and then select
Resume.
When you resume a synchronous replication session, changes to the storage resource on the source system are synchronized to the resource on the destination system, based on the recovery snapshot that was created when the session was paused. Host data written to the resource during the pause is synchronized to the destination. Ongoing replication is resumed to maintain synchronization between the source and destination.
NOTE:Snapshots that were created while the replication session was paused are not synchronized to the destination.
When you resume an asynchronous replication session, the synchronization is performed at the next RPO. You can select to manually synchronize the resources by selecting the replication session and then selecting
Synchronize.
