Dell EMC PowerFlex Rack Using PowerFlex Manager
Resource operational state
PowerFlex Manager tracks which resources it is managing and displays the operational state in the Managed State column on the All Resources tab.
| Managed state | Description |
|---|---|
| Managed | PowerFlex Manager manages the firmware on the resource and can use the resource for deployments. |
| Unmanaged | PowerFlex Manager does not manage the resource. Unmanaged is the default state for all discovered nodes. To perform firmware updates or deployments on a discovered node, select the node and change the state to
Managed.
If PowerFlex Manager is configured for monitoring and alerting only, all resources are restricted to the Unmanaged resource state. |
| Reserved | PowerFlex Manager manages the firmware on the resource but cannot use the resource for deployments. |
