Dell EMC PowerFlex Rack Using PowerFlex Manager
Deployment modes
PowerFlex Manager is deployed in one of three modes: alerting, managed, or lifecycle.
You need a PowerFlex Manager license to deploy PowerFlex Manager in managed mode.
| Mode | Description |
|---|---|
| Managed | Management and orchestration. PowerFlex Manager has deployed services or imported existing services for elements. |
| Lifecycle | Monitoring, service mode, and compliance upgrade. PowerFlex Manager puts a service in lifecycle mode if the configuration has limited support. All other service operations are blocked. |
| Alerting | Monitoring and alerting. PowerFlex Manager has not deployed services or imported existing services for elements. |
