Introduction

This guide introduces PowerFlex Manager and PowerFlex rack. It describes key tasks that are performed through PowerFlex Manager to manage your PowerFlex rack.

The guide assumes that Dell Technologies Services installed and configured PowerFlex Manager.

The target audience for this document is PowerFlex rack customers.

Dell EMC PowerFlex rack was previously known as Dell EMC VxFlex integrated rack. Similarly, Dell EMC PowerFlex Manager was previously known as Dell EMC VxFlex Manager, and Dell EMC PowerFlex was previously known as Dell EMC VxFlex OS. References in the documentation will be updated over time.

PowerFlex rack architecture is based on Dell EMC PowerEdge R650, R750, R6525, R640, R740xd, and R840 servers.

Dell EMC Networking S5200 series switches are now known as Dell EMC PowerSwitch S5200-ON series switches. Dell EMC Networking S4100 series switches are now known as Dell EMC PowerSwitch S4100-ON series switches. References in the documentation will be updated over time.
