Upgrade firmware for IPI network controller
Upgrade the IPI network controller firmware to a version consistent with the Intelligent Catalog using the IPI network controller web UI.
Prerequisites
- Identify the PDU version that is installed in the cabinet. Log in to the PDU using the UI to identify the firmware or the PDU type.
- Log in to
Dell Support to download the latest firmware.
- The G5 PDU firmware filename starts with 3.x.
- The G6 PDU firmware filename starts with 5.x.
Steps
- Log in to the IPI network controller.
- Click the gear icon to access Settings, then select System Management.
- Select the Actions menu and select Upload Firmware.

Choose File and select the firmware file to upload.
After the system updates to the new firmware version, the IPI network controller reboots automatically.
