A nonroot user account (admin) is provided for regular use. The account has access to full sudo (root privilege) escalation, and a bind mount for the large secondary drive (/shares) where most data should be stored.  If the password for the admin account is changed, it is recommended that you also change the vnc and smb passwords (as the admin user, run vncpasswd and or smbpasswd to fall through a password change cycle).  

The server has selinux enabled in enforcing mode, and only provides two publicly available service ports (22/tcp and 5901/tcp). Other services are only permitted through the firewall when their associated service scripts are run.
