Removing a volume

Use this procedure to remove a volume in the customer cluster.

About this task

If using a PowerFlex version prior to 3.5, see Removing a volume using a PowerFlex version prior to 3.5.

Prerequisites

PowerFlex Manager does not currently support removing a volume.

Steps

  1. Log in to the PowerFlex GUI and click the Configuration tab.
  2. Click Volumes that you want to unmap and click Mapping > unmap.
  3. Select the nodes from which you want to unmap this volume and click Unmap.
  4. Click the volume that you want to remove, click More and select Remove.
  5. Run an inventory on the gateway to reflect the new volumes in PowerFlex Manager:
    1. Log in to PowerFlex Manager.
    2. Click Resources.
    3. Click All Resources.
    4. From the list of resources, select the checkbox for the gateway.
    5. From the Details pane, click Run Inventory.
