Deploying the PowerFlex GUI presentation server

You can use a sample template to clone a PowerFlex GUI presentation server and deploy it using the PowerFlex Manager in the customer cluster.

1. Log in to PowerFlex Manager.
2. On the PowerFlex Manager menu bar, click Template > Sample template > Management - presentation server and click Clone in the right pane.
3. In the Clone Template dialog box, enter a template name under Template Name.
4. Select a template category from the Template Category list. To create a template category, select Create New Category and enter the Category name.
5. In the Template Description, enter a description for the template.
6. To specify the version to use for compliance, select the version from the Firmware and Software Compliance list or choose Use PowerFlex Manager appliance default catalog.
   You cannot select a minimal compliance version for a template, since it only includes server firmware updates. The compliance version for a template must include the full set of compliance update capabilities. PowerFlex Manager does not show any minimal compliance versions in the firmware and software compliance list.
7. Indicate access rights to the service deployed from this template by selecting one of the following options:
   • PowerFlex Manager administrators
   • PowerFlex Manager administrators and specific standard and operator users
     • Click Add Users to add one or more standard and or operator users to the list and click Remove Users to remove users from the list.
   • PowerFlex Manager administrators and all standard and operator users
8. Click Next.
9. On the Additional Settings page, provide new values for the Network Settings, PowerFlex Presentation Server Settings, and Cluster Settings.
   Under PowerFlex Presentation Server settings, select the presentation server credential that is created for the presentation server.
10. Select the PowerFlex management controller VMware vCenter or single vCenter.
11. Click Finish.
12. Once template is created, click Templates, select the PowerFlex presentation server template and click Edit.
13. Edit each component (PowerFlex presentation server and VMware Cluster), select the required field and Save.
14. Select the Publish template and click Deploy.
    NOTE:The presentation server is autodiscovered on the Resource page on the successful deployment of the service.
