Customer switch port configuration examples

If PowerFlex Manager is deploying a template with partial network automation, you must configure the access switches manually before deployment. This section explains how to configure link aggregation control protocol (LACP) if you are using your own access switches.

Each brand of switch commands can be configured differently, see the vendor documentation for correct commands. Due to the number of switch vendors available, it is not possible to provide configurations for each switch. However, here are four configuration examples that are provided for the following switches:
  • Cisco Nexus 93180YC-EX
  • Dell PowerSwitch S5248
  • Dell PowerSwitch S5048
  • Dell PowerSwitch S5296F
  • Arista 7280-C

The following VLANs within the examples are represented as follows:

  • flex-node-mgmt-<vlanid>
  • flex-vmotion-<vlanid>
  • flex-stor-mgmt-<vlanid>
  • flex-data1-<vlanid>
  • flex-data2-<vlanid>
  • flex-data3-<vlanid> (if required)
  • flex-data4-<vlanid> (if required)
