Add the peer system

Use this procedure to add the peer system.

1. Type scli -login -username admin after the password prompt and enter the MDM cluster password.
   NOTE:From the output, obtain the system ID. It is used in the following step to add a peer system on the primary site.

   Example output: Logged in. User role is SuperUser. System ID is 2e6ccfd208ef120f

2. Add the peer system to the primary site, type: # scli --add_replication_peer_system --peer_system_ip (remote system mdm management ips) --peer_system_id (system id of remote site) --peer_system_name (remote site name)
3. Add the peer system to the remote site, type: # scli --add_replication_peer_system --peer_system_ip (primary system mdm management ips) --peer_system_id (system id of primary site) --peer_system_name (primary site name)
   NOTE:

   • For a three-node cluster, you need two IP addresses - comma separated (primary, secondary).
   • For a five-node cluster, you need three IP addresses - comma separated (primary, secondary1, secondary2).
