Add a new compatibility management file
Use this procedure to add a new compatibility management file to PowerFlex Manager.
About this task
Compatibility management helps PowerFlex Manager to recognize the correct Intelligent Catalog version and provides valid upgrade path details for the appliance and Intelligent Catalog.
NOTE:If the compatibility management file is not uploaded to the
PowerFlex appliance, upgrading the
PowerFlex Manager appliance and service to latest version will be blocked.
It also helps bring the system into compliance and provide the details about supported and valid upgrade paths.
Steps
- Log in to PowerFlex Manager.
- Click Settings and select Virtual appliance management.
- On the Compatibility management section, click Add.
- Download the compatibility management file from Dell Support to the jump server.
- Click Upload from Local to use a local file. Then, click Choose File to select the GPG file and click Save.
