Changing the CloudLink secadmin user password

Use this procedure to change the password of the CloudLink secadmin user.

About this task

During predeployment, the administrator completing the CloudLink Center deployment VMs sets the password for the CloudLink secadmin user.

During the deployment of PowerFlex Manager, the CloudLink secadmin user password in PowerFlex Manager is set. If the CloudLink secadmin user password is changed after deployment, you must also change the CloudLink secadmin user password within PowerFlex Manager to maintain manageability by PowerFlex Manager.

Steps

  1. Open a web browser and log in to either CloudLink VM.
  2. Log in with secadmin username and password (VMwar3123!!).
  3. On the upper right corner, click secadmin, and click Change Password.
  4. On the CHANGE PASSWORD screen, type Current Password and New Password to the respective fields, and click Change.
  5. On the upper right corner click secadmin, and then select Logout.
  6. Log in with secadmin username and the new password.
  7. Change the CloudLink password in PowerFlex Manager by doing the following steps:
    1. In PowerFlex Manager, go to Settings > Credentials management, select the CloudLink credential, click Edit, change the Password, and click Save. See Credentials management for more information.
  8. Test the changes:
    1. In the PowerFlex Manager GUI, go to Resources page, select the CloudLink center, and click Run Inventory.
    2. To confirm that the process completes with no errors, check Settings > Logs.
