Update the grub configuration file

Use this task to update the grub configuration file.

About this task

Remove net.ifnames=0 and biosdevname=0 from the /etc/default/grub file to avoid the interface name issue when you add virtual NICs to SVM for SDR communication.

Steps

  1. Log in to the SVM using PuTTY.
  2. Edit the grub configuration file located in /etc/default/grub, type: # vi /etc/default/grub.
  3. From the last line, remove net.ifnames=0 and biosdevname=0, and save the file.
  4. Rebuild the grub configuration file, using: # grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
