Increase memory
Modify the memory size according to the SDR requirements on a replication-enabled PowerFlex node.
About this task
NOTE:12 GB of additional memory is required for
SDR. For example, if you have 24 GB memory existing in the SVM for an MG pool, add 12 GB for enabling replication, 24+12 = 36 GB. If you have 32 GB memory existing in the SVM for an FG pool, add 12 GB for enabling replication so it would be 32 + 12 = 44 GB.
Steps
- Log in to the VMware vCenter vSphere client.
- Right-click the VM you want to change and select Edit Settings.
- Under the Virtual Hardware tab, expand Memory and modify the memory size according to the SDR requirement.
- Click OK.
