Removing the EDSFF E3.S PERC module

Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system.
Remove the cooling fan cage assembly.
Remove the drive backplane cover.
If required, remove the air shroudor remove the GPU air shroud..
Disconnect all the cables from the PERC, observe the cable routing.
NOTE:See cable routing section; configuration 46 for more information.

Press the release tabs on both the sides of the PERC tray, and lift the PERC tray out of the system.
Disconnect the PERC power cable from the EDSFF E3.S backplane module.

Press the blue tabs and remove the PERC power cable from the PERC card.
Disconnect the battery power cable from the PERC card.
Tilt and lift the battery holder assembly from the front PERC tray.
NOTE:Remove the battery cable from the front PERC shroud cable holder.
NOTE:The numbers on the image do not depict the exact steps. The numbers are for representation of sequence.

Press and remove the battery from the battery holder.

Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, remove the four screws on the front PERC shroud.
Remove the PERC shroud from the PERC.card.
Remove the PERC card from the PERC tray.

NOTE:The procedure to remove the other PERC card is similar.
