Installing bay intrusion switch
Prerequisites
- Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
- Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
- If installed, remove the front bezel.
- Open the drive bays.
- Remove the drive bay 1 bracket.
Steps
- Align the intrusion switch to the intrusion switch slot in drive bay 1.
- Using a Phillips #1 screwdriver, replace the screws to secure the intrusion switch.
- Connect the intrusion cable to the backplane of drive bay 1.

Next steps
- Install the drive bay 1 bracket.
- Close the drive bays.
- If removed, install the front bezel.
- Follow the procedure listed in After working inside your system.
