Opening and closing the PCIe card holder latch

Before installing or removing a full length PCIe card, the PCIe card holder latch must be closed. When the full length PCIe card is installed, open the PCIe card holder latch.

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
  2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.

Steps

  1. To open the PCIe card holder latch, press the release tab.

  2. To close the PCIe card holder latch, push the latch until it locks.
