Installing an expansion card riser

Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
Before installing the expansion card riser 2A, install an expansion card into the riser, if applicable.

If removed, install the expansion cards into the expansion card riser.
Holding the touch points, align the expansion card riser with the connector and the riser guide pin on the system board.
NOTE:While installing riser 1B, press the tabs and hold the touch point to align the expansion card riser and the riser guide pin on the system board.
Lower the expansion card riser into place until the expansion card riser connector is fully seated in the connector.

Follow the procedure listed in After working inside your system.
Install any device drivers required for the card as described in the documentation for the card.
