Your system supports PCIe Express Generation 3 cards. The following
table provides riser configurations for R330 systems:
Table 1. Expansion card
slots available on the expansion card riserThe PCIe slot 1 on the expansion card riser is
mapped to the processor. This slot supports half height, half length
x4 expansion cards. This is an x8 slot. The PCIe slot 2 on the expansion
card riser is mapped to processor. This slot supports full height,
half length x8 expansion cards. This is an x16 slot.

The following table
provides a guide for installing expansion cards to ensure proper cooling
and mechanical fit. The expansion cards with the highest priority
must be installed first using the slot priority indicated. All other
expansion cards must be installed in card priority and slot priority
order.
Table 3. Expansion card
installation order1. Card priority 1 is assigned to PowerEdge RAID
Controller (PERC) H730, PERC H330, PERC H830 (full height) and PERC
H830 (low profile). The slot priority for PowerEdge RAID Controller
(PERC) H730 and H330 is the Internal PERC card slot and supports a
maximum of 1 card. The slot priority for the full height PERC H830
is 2 and supports a maximum of 1 card. The slot priority for the low
profile PERC H830 is 1 and supports a maximum of 1 card. 2. Card priority
2 is assigned to 10 GB NICs. The slot priority for the Intel and Broadcom
Dual Port 10 GB NIC is 2 and supports a maximum of 1 card. The slot
priority for the Intel and Broadcom Dual Port Low Profile 10 GB NIC
is 1 and supports a maximum of 1 card. 3. Card priority 3 is assigned
to FC8 HBA. The slot priority for Qlogic QLE2562, Qlogic QLE2560,
Emulex LPE12002, Emulex LPE12000, Emulex LPE15000, and Emulex LPE15002
is 2 and supports a maximum of 1 card. The slot priority for Qlogic
QLE2562, Qlogic QLE2560, Emulex LPE12002, Emulex LPE12000, Emulex
LPE15000, and Emulex LPE15002 Low Profile is 1 and supports a maximum
of 1 card. 4. Card priority 4 is assigned to1 Gb NICs. The slot priority
for Intel and Broadcom Dual and Quad Port 1 GB NICs is 2 and supports
a maximum of 1 card. The slot priority for Intel and Broadcom Dual
and Quad Port Low Profile 1 GB NICs is 1 and supports a maximum of
1 card. 5. Card priority 5 is assigned toNon-RAID cards. The slot
priority for 12GB SAS HBA Full Height card is 2 and supports a maximum
of 1 card. The slot priority for 12GB SAS HBA Low Profile card is
1 and supports a maximum of 1 card.
