Administration PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance supports audit logging to track the logging of events and auditing along with capabilities. Audit logging enables you to discover access violations, changed or deleted files, failed authentication, and so on. With the Administrator, Security Administrator, and User roles, you can view audit logs to monitor system activity.
Administration PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance supports Multi-factor authentication feature for the users to login to the UI dashboard by providing the valid OTP. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) provides additional layers of challenge beyond username and passwords to guard against the risk of stolen credentials. By default, MFA is disabled.
Infrastructure PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance supports an identity provider which is an abstract source of user and group data that Data Manager Appliance can map to corresponding roles. In addition to the list of supported external identity providers, Data Manager Appliance contains locally defined identity providers for application and operating system users.
Protection PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance supports the protection of data hosted on Simplified Chinese, French, German, Italian, and Japanese operating systems. Hardware DM5500 includes a SAS HBA card in slot 5 in the back of the server. DM5500 will support expansion shelves for increased storage capacity in the next release.

Provides the PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance connectivity to the users network and enables managing uplinks through the uplink group mechanism.
