Prerequisites

The prerequisites for Cloud DR (Service) in PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance are as follows:

NOTE Completed backup on Data Manager (Service) is needed prior to any Cloud DR (Service) activities or workflows to run.
  • Register the vCenter server, where PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance is deployed, in the Asset Sources section of the Infrastructure pane.
  • Configure an NTP server in System Settings > Time.
  • See PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance Software Compatibility Guide provides more information about various regions and supported operating systems.
  • PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance has the following scale limitations:
    • Five thousand Virtual Machines
    • 300 TB FE Capacity
  • Ensure that you observe the VM specifications (including CPU and memory) for Cloud DR (Service). The latest requirements (for Amazon Web Services, AWS GovCloud, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft Azure Government) are listed in the Cloud Disaster Recovery Installation and Administration Guide.
  • Ensure that you understand and observe the prerequisite requirements for the cloud service that you are deploying. The latest prerequisites are listed in the Cloud Disaster Recovery Installation and Administration Guide.
