Dell PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance 5.14.0.0 Administrator Guide for DM5500

Record settings for server DR

Plan for DR by recording vital information. If a major outage occurs, you need this information to recover your systems. Some items are only required for particular DR scenarios. Record the following information in a local drive outside PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance:

Steps

  1. Record the PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance FQDN.
  2. Log in to the PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance user interface as a user with the administrator role.
  3. Record the PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance version and build numbers.
Dell Customer Support can provide this information, which is not mandatory.
  4. Click settings icon, select Disaster Recovery, and then click Configuration.
  5. Record whether server DR storage uses DD Boost.
  6. Record the protection storage system IP address or FQDN.
  7. If you configured server DR replication, record the FQDN for the replication target.
