Generate SupportAssist access key and PIN

An access key and PIN are required to configure a secure connection between PowerProtect DM5500 and SupportAssist. You only need to apply the access key and PIN once.

About this task

NOTE Generating SupportAssist access key and pin is required only when the appliance has been reset to factory settings.

Use the following procedure to generate your SupportAssist access key and PIN:

Steps

  1. Go to the Customer Support website.
  2. Log in with your business account.
  3. Locate the product model in the list of available products using keywords.
  4. Click View Details.
  5. Enter the product identifiers (Product ID, Serial Number, or PSNT) and follow the prompts to generate the access key.
