Configure a local Security Officer role user

The Security Officer role is responsible for authorizing critical operations in the appliance. It is recommended that the Administrator creates the user with Security Officer role post appliance configuration. There is an alert on the appliance until the Security Officer is created. Only one user with Security Office role can be created on the appliance.

1. Click Configure in the Security pane.
2. Configure the following in the User Details section on the Security wizard.
   • First Name
   • Last Name
   • Email Address
3. Configure the following in the Login Details section on the Security wizard.
   • Username
   • Password
   • Confirm Password
   NOTE Enable or disable the toggle below the Confirm Password field to force password change when you log in for the first time.
4. Click Save to save the configured settings.
