Troubleshooting and limitations for SQL application aware policies with TSDM
Review the following limitations for SQL application aware protection policies with the Transparent Snapshots Data Mover (TSDM).
SQL application aware TSDM backups might fail with network connection error
NOTE:For other limitations and troubleshooting information related to TSDM in

PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance Virtual Machine User Guide.
Backups of SQL application aware protection policies with TSDM enabled might fail with the following error due to network connectivity issues:
SDM Data Mover: App SDM Snapshot: Unable to proceed with the task 'App SDM Snapshot': Agent 'MSSQLDM' requires a TCP/IP network connection for this operation.
If this error displays:
- Verify the network connectivity between the backup server and the guest virtual machine SQL 2022.
- Add a firewall exception for the vflragentd process in the SQL client.
