Enable the Oracle RMAN agent after Oracle application update
Perform the following steps to enable the Oracle RMAN agent operations after an update of the Oracle application on the client.
Prerequisites
Before you perform an Oracle application update or patch update, ensure that no centralized or self-service backup jobs are running.
Steps
- Stop the PowerProtect agent service. In a cluster, Oracle RAC, or Oracle Data Guard environment, stop the PowerProtect agent service on all the nodes.
- Update the Oracle database or apply the update patch by following the recommended Oracle procedures.
- Start the PowerProtect agent service.
