Get Started window

The Get Started window provides configuration options that are required when the PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance system is first deployed.

The Get Started window is displayed by default when you log in until you click Launch.

The Get Started window enables you to configure or edit the following menu items:

Options Description
Support Launches the Support window, which enables you to configure SupportAssist, Auto-Support, and set up the email server for application notifications and messages
License Launches the License window, which prompts you to add a license file to PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance. Once a license is uploaded, you can view license details, such as capacity usage and software ID.
Assets Launches the Asset Sources window, where you can enable any of the asset source types that PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance supports. Upon enabling an asset source, you can add and register the source for the protection of assets.
Security Launches the Security window, where you can create a local Security Officer that can authorize security workflows. Use the Configure button to create the local security officer account.
NOTE:Once you configure the menu items the Get Started does not appear again.
