Delete an Uplink Group

Although optional, Dell Technologies recommends that you delete the uplink groups that are no longer required.

Prerequisites

Unassign or delete the virtual network associated with the uplinks that must be deleted. To unassign or delete a virtual network see, Delete a virtual network

Steps

  1. From the PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance UI, select Infrastructure > Networks.
    The Networks window appears.
  2. Click Uplinks
    The Uplinks wizard appears displaying the existing Uplink Groups.
  3. Locate the row that corresponds to the appropriate virtual network associated with the uplink group, and then click the radio button to select that row.
    PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance enables the Delete button.
  4. Click Delete.
    The Delete Uplink Group wizard appears.
  5. Verify the uplink group name, and then click Continue to acknowledge the deletion warning.
    NOTE:If there is an error during deletion, unassign the virtual network associated with this uplink and try again.
    The PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance removes the uplink group from the list on the Uplinks page.
